A 13-year-old boy, identified as Emmanuel Ezeh, who is also a student of the Government Secondary School, Abaji has been reportedly electrocuted in his parent house at Abaji area of Ekene, Federal Capital Territory. Speaking about the incident on Saturday, the father of the deceased, Mr. Ezeh Augustine, said that, “last Wednesday afternoon, April 7, about 2 o’clock pm, when the PHCN bring electricity.
According to an eyewitness, the boy’s father was at his place of work when he was called upon that his son had been electrocuted, he rushed to see his son lying helplessly. Another witness who spoke to our correspondents said, the small boy gave up the ghost while on their way to Abaji General Hospital to save him.
However, the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Abuja general hospital’s mortuary, and would be transferred to his father’s hometown at Igboeze, Area of Enugu, Enugu-State for burial on Tuesday, April 14.
The P.R.O of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (A.E.D.C) Mr. Oyebode Fadipe, while speaking about the sad incident said he was not aware as it was not reported to the company, but the proper arrangement has been made by the management of the AEDC including the legal and safety department on meeting with the family of the deceased.

Nevertheless, the elder brother of the boy, with the Facebook name, Jude Ezeh, took to his Facebook page to mourn Ekene’s death. Below is the screenshot of what he wrote;
