The Chief of Staff to the president of Nigeria, Abba Kyari has gave up the ghost. He passed away on Friday April 17, after over two weeks he was diagnosed and tested positive to COVID19.
President Buhari spokesman, Garba Shehu, announced Kyari’s death via his twitter handle, he wrote; ”The Presidency regrets to announce the death of the Chief of Staff to Nigeria President, Mallam Abba Kyari”.
Recall that, the deceased had earlier tested positive to the Coronavirus disease and had been isolated and receiving treatment before he was pronounced dead on Friday, April 17, 2020.
However, Bashir Ahmad, who was the Personal Assistant to President Buhari on News Media including the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina also confirmed the death of the president Chief of Staff.
Adesina tweeted, “Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, passes on. May God rest his soul. Amen. Funeral arrangements to be made known to the general public at a later date.
Also, Bashir wrote on his twitter page, he wrote “Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, has died. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him the highest rank of Jannah. Allah ya jikan so”.
